Bring in canned goods for our local charities. S.H.I.N.E. Soup Kitchen in Easley and Safe Harbor in Seneca.
SHINE was founded in 2004 by Judy Burns with a desire to “Stop Hunger in Easley “. Today, we serve approximately 150 of our less fortunate neighbors Monday through Friday. Meals are offered to anyone who comes through the door, no questions asked. For some, it is the only meal they will receive on any given day; for others, the meals help alleviate difficult decisions, such as whether to pay the energy bill or buy groceries. More than 300 volunteers offer their time and energy in preparing and serving over 22,000 meals in 2014 at approximately $2.70 per meal.
