POOL OWNERS: Money Saving Tips

Chemically clean your filter twice each year. By doing this your filtration system runs more efficiently and economically. Also you will use fewer chemicals because they will not be eaten up by dirt and debris in your filter media.

Brush your pool walls and floor once a week. Chemicals like to cling to the pool surface and if not removed they are not as effective; this will cause you to have to add more chemicals.

Clean your baskets out at least once a week. The longer you let dirt and debris stay in your basket it eats up your chemicals, causes your pump to work harder, and cost more to get past the debris.

Run your pump 24 hours a day. It will cost a little more for electricity but will cost you less in chemicals and time spent trying to clean up algae and cloudy water.
